I will be away on a trip from September through November. During that time I will not be able to host any games. Games will resume in December.
I am Achlyos (ack-lee-ohse). Born on the microscopic but beautiful island of Guam, I moved to Washington state after high school and never looked back. There I live with my loving boyfriend of 15 years and counting; you may see him in some of the games I run. I am a lifetime gamer and roleplayer doing everything from TTRPGs to MMOs to LARPs. I love cooperative games, collaborative storytelling, and working with a team to take down the big bad. As a GM, I may joke about being an adversary but in reality I am constantly on the lookout to create an engaging and rewarding experience for everyone at my table. My special GM power is gathering loads of tools I use to create a space where you can quickly jump into your character and get into the action. Whether that may be handpicked audio and visuals to set the right tone or technical tools to remove the busy work that inherently comes with TTRPGs.
If you are here then you are either a loved one with whom I wish to engage with in good times and do some big hero type shit or you are part of a community I respect and want to give back to by offering my GMing services. In either case, I want to get to know you more and see what crazy things we can get up to in whatever universe we are running around in today. Welcome in, grab some snacks, and roll initiative.
Welcome to my personal space for all things rules, resources, and planning for all the TTRPGs I am currently running and for those soon to come. This home page will show my basic info, the basic house rules that will apply to all TTRPGs I run, the systems I am currently using, and my GM calendar. Subsequent pages will include special house rules for that specific system, notable NPC bios, the current status of any campaigns within that system, and more. I can usually always be reached on discord should you have any questions for me or you can use the contact form on this site.
I have always had a fascination with Greek Mythology. Achlys (Ἀχλύς) is the primordial goddess of sorrow and misery and is one of many gods of death among the pantheon. Achlys can be translated into "mist" as she is specifically the mist or the fog that clouds mortal eyes before death. I love me a good psychopomp so I masculinized her name to adopt as a sick avatar for my GM and online persona. Your time is finite and every session is one session closer to your character's death. I, the GM, will be there to guide you to The End.
Below are some general rules that will apply to all tabletop games I run unless otherwise stated.
I am by no means an encyclopedia on every rules set I play under and I am always open to rules clarifications and corrections. However, if a rules argument erupts or a clarification is taking too much time, for the sake of keeping the session moving I will serve as final arbiter in settling the matter. We will go with my ruling in the moment and I welcome further discussion at a later time to settle arguments or finish clarifications.
Please respect mine and everyone else's time by being present and aware during a session. Study your character sheets and know what your abilities do or ask when there is free time. Have an idea of any actions you wish to take before your turn comes around. If you are distracted or need to step away from the table for any reason to deal with something IRL it is okay to do so. See Next.
We all gotta go afk at some point. Please always let the table know you are going afk before you do. Within Foundry I have added a mod to let me know you are going afk without even saying a word. Barring this you may always simply ask for a quick break if you need to and I will oblige. Please be reasonable about how often you go afk or how often you request a break. Abusers of this rule may be reconsidered for having a seat at my table.
When successfully performing a critical attack, instead of rolling your damage twice you get maximum damage for the first set of dice, roll the second set, and add both numbers for your total critical damage. This way critical attacks will always do at minimum your max damage dice. Enemies will also be following this rule. My Foundry worlds should automatically follow this formula, if not please let me know.
Self explanatory. SUPPORT REAL ARTISTS! I would rather a crayon drawing or slapped together paint program doodle than anyone using AI art at my table. If you're from a public TTRPG server looking to apply to any of my games you will be de-prioritized to last resort status for being selected if your character sheet includes AI art. I am also not perfect and LLMs will only get better with each passing minute sometimes I can be fooled as well despite all my efforts. So if you spot AI art anywhere near any of my shit too, call it out. Idk i'll give you an inspiration or reroll or something for due diligence and keeping everyone honest especially myself.
Should you get to know me, you'll find I am a kind and patient person and I am not quick to anger nor do I like confrontation. HOWEVER. You are sitting down to play a game with a very homosexual cis-gendered working-class indigenous person of color with he/him pronouns and who believes that all humans have rights no matter where they are from or what they look like. No exceptions. If you have a problem with any part of this you are simply not worth my very precious and limited time or effort and I kindly invite you to have the life you'll have and fuck all the way off. #LoveisLove #BlackLivesMatter #TransRightsAreHumanRights #AbolishICE #NoKings #ProChoice #FreePalestine #HumanRights #PunchNazis #FoodAndShelterIsAHumanRight #EatTheRich #AbortionRights
